If your family is anything like mine, your chip clips always seem to disappear! I have an easy solution for this problem with these homemade DIY chip clips.
Seeing as how we just had a baby, we had to buy all kinds of new clothes for her. When we took the clothes home and washed them all, we were left with a pile of hangers that would have otherwise gone in the trash.
After playing around with the hangers for a while I went to go eat a sandwich and some chips. The sandwich tasted fine but as I bit into the first chip, I found it to be stale and having the consistency of cardboard.
That was when I realized I could make DIY chip clips from those hangers!
DIY Chip Clips:
I was going to make a step-by-step guide… but really all you have to do is take a hacksaw and cut off the little clips on either side of the hanger. A hacksaw will cut through that plastic almost as quick as butter. This will give you a rough edge on one side of the DIY chip clips. I just left it that way because as I already stated, ours always wind up missing. If this rough edge bothers you, then take some sandpaper and smooth it down to your liking.
The end result will give you and your family plenty of DIY chip clips that didn’t cost anything at all.
